{Sweet Parties} Emma Lynn’s Pinwheels and Pom Poms Party

When Emma Lynn’s mom April contacted us to create a custom invitation for her daughter’s first birthday, Beverly and I were excited to get started on the design, featuring pink and grey pinwheels and pom poms. April had a great vision for the invitation and other party items and when we saw Christy Hollywood Photography‘s blog post from the party, it was obvious April had great vision for the entire party! Everything was so cute and perfectly put-together. Christy was so sweet to share these photos of our products with us.

Don’t you just LOVE that pink high chair?

Now, you *have* to see the rest of the party. Visit Christy’s blog to see more amazing pictures!

Thank you, April, for asking us to create this collection for Emma Lynn’s sweet party.

{Sweet Parties} Allyson’s ‘You Are My Sunshine’ Baby Shower

Are you humming that tune yet? That’s my favorite song to sing to Molly and it just melts my heart when I hear her singing it to her baby dolls or from the backseat of the car.

Erin contacted us to create the invitations and some other goodies for a baby shower she was cohosting for a dear friend. The theme of the shower was “You are my Sunshine,” and the colors were grey, yellow and orange. LOVE! What a perfect baby shower idea, right?

We came up with a few invitation proofs for her and this is the one she chose. {I can’t wait to add the others to the shop soon!}

The hostesses found {and made} come super cute decorations, kept the food monochromatic and even created a sunshine playlist to play at the shower! I love it when everything ties together so seamlessly.

How perfect was it that Erin was able to grab the sing with the lyrics to “You are my Sunshine” out of her guest room?

Check out all the yellow and orange food! Chic-fil-a chicken nuggets {yum!}, pineapples, bananas and oranges, pimento cheese finger sandwiches, pretzel salad and carrots. So delicious and creative!

You know I love to use Mason jars for everything – here they serve as flatware caddies!The party started before the guests even stepped outside – a ribbon wreath on the door, some our large party circles and balloons created a welcoming and festive entrance.

Spring is in the air…

Which means it’s shower season!  We’ve had several requests in the past few weeks for some very sweet baby shower invitations.  And we know that bridal showers will be happening very soon for the early summer weddings.  Today I want to share with you some of our recent favorite designs – all inspired by this lovely spring weather we’re having!

{this one was inspired by our collection of items from the perfect color combination!}

And, if you’re like me and want to bring the perfect off-the-registery gift, consider our personalized notecards.  We can create a customized set to match any theme and the bride or mother-to-be will be thrilled with your thoughtfulness!

{Sneak Peek} Circus Birthday Party

Remember the grey and pink vintage circus invitations?

We designed those invitations and then a completely different set of invitations, which we call the Bright Circus collection.  My dear friend Julia ended up using the brighter version for her twin girls’ first birthday party.  We’ve been waiting ever-so-patiently for the day of the party and it’s finally here!  Here’s a sneak peek of the collection:

We can’t wait to share more pictures – and the invitation! – with you soon!

Happy birthday, Clara Ann and Ruby!

{Holiday Cards} Grey Damask

You may remember my obsession with grey…so of course we had to figure out how to use this elegant, go-with-everything color for some of our holiday card designs.  I am also obsessed with the damask pattern (our nursery fabric, moses basket fabric, car seat cover, and birth announcements are black and white damask), so I was thrilled to incorporate that too!

I also love these grey cards:

They’re a little more playful than the damask design but still so different from your traditional holiday card!  So, what do you think?  Do you love these grey holiday cards too?  Visit our Etsy shop to see the rest of our holiday collection!

And don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook!  Once we reach 100 fans, we’re going to offer a promotion just in time to purchase holiday cards!

The perfect combination {grey and pink}

If you ask me, just about anything goes with grey.  We’re due for a new mattress soon and even though our small adorable house can’t really handle it, we might upgrade to a KING size!  Which means…new bedding!  And I’ve got my eye on a lovely grey and yellow ensemble.  I’m envisioning calm grey walls, a beautiful yellow and grey duvet cover, and some cheery yellow throw pillows.

However, I’ve also been eyeing some grey and pink things in preparation for Molly’s big girl room (yes, I know we’re eons away from decorating a big girl room for her, but I can still plan, right?!).  Do you remember Beverly’s post from last week?  That’s just one of the many inspirational things I’ve found recently for this perfect color combination.

As I got the stroller out of the car the other day at the mall, I realized I’ve been loving pink and grey together since before Molly was born:

Or how about this reusable snack bag I picked up for Molly’s lunchbox:

And I think these items would be the sweetest touches in a little girl’s room:

Beverly and I took our obsession with this color palette and created a vintage circus invitation for a twin birthday party.  Our customer ended up using a different color scheme (which we LOVE, too and can’t wait to show you!), which means we can share the grey and pink invitation with you here and in our Etsy shop.

Aren’t these invitations SO sweet?
