{Free Printables!} Halloween invitation and party circles

Since we have the most amazing clients and friends, we want to offer our blog readers, Twitter followers and Facebook fans a FREE fill in the blank invitation printable and party circles.

Yes, that’s right. There’s a fill-in-the-blank invitation with our favorite chevron stripe border AND a set of party circles! Want both items? Of course you do.

Download the invitation here and the party circles here. Print them on cardstock at home, cut and enjoy! We would love it if you’d take a minute to leave us some comment love on our blog or on our Facebook page. You know, just so we know that you were here and plan to use the printables! And, we will be forever in your debt if you send us pictures of your party afterward! We love to feature readers’ parties on our blog.

{Oh, and we’re not really having a Halloween party on the 30th, just so you know…}

————————

If you prefer a different design, we have more designs in our shop. Check them out: there’s an owl collection {here and here} and a different version of the haunted house.

Happy fall, y’all!

Oh! And keep sharing the news…we would love to offer a fun Thanksgiving printable too, but first we need to surpass another goal. 300 Facebook fans perhaps? 400 Twitter followers? Both??

Keep in Touch…and a holiday weekend

{A Giveaway AND a Free Download} It’s your lucky day!

Ahh, summer. I love tank tops and dresses and flip flops, don’t you? These items are staples of my summer wardrobe, and if you live anywhere south of say, Wisconsin, you probably have a closet full of those clothes, too! In North Carolina, we have to be creative because we can literally wear flip flops and tank tops from March to October, with a few random days of jeans and layers {like today. Um, it’s May!}. I went shopping for Mother’s Day gifts today and of course I had to try on a few things for myself. I spied these fabulous finds at one of my favorite stores, J. Crew.

Love, love, love this dress but it was waayyy too long.

Had seen this tank top online, but it wasn’t available in my store.

How fun are these flip flops? Too bad they didn’t have my size.

Those flip flops, however, got Beverly and I thinking about creating a cute Mother’s Day invitation, so we started brainstorming about how we wanted to celebrate on Sunday. Beverly whipped up this invitation:

Then, Beverly mentioned that she’d been craving strawberry cupcakes {yum!} so we had to create coordinating cupcake toppers, right?!

And guess what? We decided to offer the cupcake toppers to you, our sweet readers. Just click on the link below to download the file, then print on cardstock and cut or punch out. Voila!  Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Moms out there. And to those of you who aren’t moms yet, we hope these party circles will come in handy as you are celebrating the moms in your life!

Click HERE to download your Mother’s Day party circles!

{Please, if you download them and use them this weekend, we’d love to see pictures!}

AND, even though I struck out at J. Crew, it is one of our reader’s lucky day…because Beverly and I decided to give away a $25 J. Crew giftcard. We think our fans and customers are the greatest, so we want you to feel the love! So much of our business comes from word of mouth and the referrals that YOU give! Thank you for spreading the word about Sweet Birdie’s Nest.

Want to win?  It’s easy!

1} “Like” us on Facebook and leave a comment here that you did.

2} Follow us on Twitter and leave a comment here that you did.

If you already “Like” us or follow us, tell us because that counts too!

All entries must be complete by next Thursday, May 12 at 11:59 p.m. EST. We’ll select a winner next Friday, May 13 and post it here on the blog!

Good luck!

{Holiday Cards} Magical Christmas

Remember the fun red and brown photo card we featured the other day?  Here’s another take on the red and brown theme that’s still fun, but a little more sophisticated.

Find this design and more in our Etsy shop today!

And don’t forget, today is the last day for our Facebook friends to get 15% off their purchase.  Beat the holiday rush and ensure the timely arrival of your warm wishes by ordering today!

{Holiday Cards} Red and Brown Photo Card

There are so many options for holiday decorating, aren’t there?  There’s the oh-so- elegant gold and silver theme.  And you can’t go wrong with traditional red and green.  You can create a winter wonderland with blues and silvers and greens and whites.  Or how about fun and modern with lime green, purple and hot pink?  I feel like I need multiple trees and fireplaces just so I can create a different theme for each room!

However, I just think there’s something so classic about the red and brown color combination at Christmas.  It makes me think of the outdoors, snow on the ground, hot chocolate, reindeers…everything quintessentially holiday-ish!  This photo card was created with this classic color palette but gets a dose of freshness from the white polka dots.  So fun!

You can find this card, and all of our holiday card designs, in our Etsy shop!

Don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook!  We’re going to give our fans a special offer once we reach 100 “likes.”

{Holiday Cards} Grey Damask

You may remember my obsession with grey…so of course we had to figure out how to use this elegant, go-with-everything color for some of our holiday card designs.  I am also obsessed with the damask pattern (our nursery fabric, moses basket fabric, car seat cover, and birth announcements are black and white damask), so I was thrilled to incorporate that too!

I also love these grey cards:

They’re a little more playful than the damask design but still so different from your traditional holiday card!  So, what do you think?  Do you love these grey holiday cards too?  Visit our Etsy shop to see the rest of our holiday collection!

And don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook!  Once we reach 100 fans, we’re going to offer a promotion just in time to purchase holiday cards!

{Holiday Cards} Merry Dots

Are you lucky enough to have more than one photo you want to share in your holiday greetings this year?  This fun card design has four photo openings (but would also look great with just one photo).  I love the traditional red and green, but think it would be cute with other color combinations, too.

Want to use something other than “Merry Christmas?”  How about “Happy Holidays” or “Feliz Navidad?”  Visit the shop today to customize your card!

Also, don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook and tell your friends, too!  We’re going to offer a special promotion just for our Facebook fans once we reach 100 “likes,” and we’re almost there!

{Holiday Cards} Elegant Black and Red Design

We have created a lot of fun, festive holiday card designs but sometimes a more elegant, sophisticated design would be perfect.  Using a red, black, and white color scheme, we’ve created some beautiful designs with more grown-up patterns.  I think these would be perfect for newlyweds or for families with older children, although we can customize them for anyone!

This is one of my new favorites:

Visit the Etsy shop to see the other elegant designs in this collection!

{Giveaway} Trick-or-Treat Banner

We are SO excited to host our very first giveaway!

Since I have been ready for fall for a few weeks now, I have been dying to break out the pumpkin decorations and my sister and I already have the kids’ Halloween costumes picked out!  I even found a yummy pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese frosting recipe that I just might have to try this weekend (as if I need cupcakes at the house…).

We created this super-fun “Trick or Treat” banner to kick-start my decorating, and we want to give one to you, too!

To enter the giveaway:

  • You need to visit another post on Sweet Birdie’s Nest or visit our Etsy shop and comment on this post about something else you love.  {This is required to enter the giveaway!}
  • Become a fan of Sweet Birdie’s Nest on Facebook.  Comment here that you’re a fan.
  • Follow us on Twitter.  Comment here that you’re one of our tweeps!

If you are our lucky winner, we’ll email you a pdf file that you can print and use for your personal use!  The contest ends Sunday, October 3.

{I made two slits in each letter and strung the letters on a some grosgrain ribbon.  I think it would be really cute with some sparkly touches between the words or letters, but I was in a hurry to get the picture posted!  The possibilities are unlimited!}
