More notecard designs! {And some purple love.}

Y’all know I LOVE stationery – note cards in particular! A few weeks ago, Beverly and I were brainstorming some new collections for the shop and we came up a lot of fun ideas. First up, I want to share these two new note card designs.

The best news is these are in the shop, ready for purchase. {Just click on “Shop the Nest” on the right to go right to our shop.} Want them personalized? Contact us! We would love to create personalized stationery for you. I think note cards make a great gift for anyone — even yourself!

And how fun is this post? Julia sent me this blog this morning, thinking I’d love the purpleness of it. How cute is that? Thanks for sharing, Jules!

{Sweet Parties} Avery’s Bee Party

The Bumblebee collection is one of my all-time favorites not only because it’s so adorable but because it’s the theme I used for Molly’s first birthday! Needless to say, I’m always excited when our customers want to order the bee invitations for their own parties.

Avery’s grandmother Julie sent us these sweet pictures from Avery’s first birthday party. Everything looked so cute – I love all the bee themed ‘extras.’

Honey jars make the perfect party favor for a bumblebee party, don’t you think?

Bee shaped cake pops: Absolutely adorable! If you look closely in some of the other pictures, you can see that Julie used yellow and black M&M candies to fill the container the bee pops were in. I love to use colored candy as decoration. So easy and yummy, too!

Look at this cute door sign! I always love a fun greeting for guests.

And finally, check out this bee watering can! It’s perfect as a table decoration, isn’t it?

Thank you for sharing pictures of Avery’s very special day, Julie, and thank you for choosing Sweet Birdie’s Nest!

{Sweet parties} Molly’s Bumblebee Party

We celebrated Molly’s first birthday over the weekend with lots of family and friends.  I chose the theme – bumblebees – after purchasing the sweetest smocked bumblebee bubble suit in the spring.  I was a little worried that it wouldn’t fit her now, but it did!

Beverly designed the adorable invitation {there were several versions – be sure to check out our Etsy shop for the designs!} and other paper products for me.  I had such great help from Beverly, my mom, my mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law to get everything organized.  Thank you!!

{My in-laws made the cutest sugar cookies using beehive and bee shaped cookie cutters; I made the bunting to hang on the mantle and over the dessert table after being inspired by Sara; the paper garland on the chandelier was an easy DIY project from Kim at Project Nursery;  the delicious cake and cupcakes are from local bakery Tizzerts; so many books were donated in honor of Molly for the Levine’s Children’s Hospital; the flatware was rolled in these bright yellow napkins and finished with the party circles!}
