Sweet Tate’s Owl Notecards

Last week, I was so excited to meet my dear friend Andrea’s new baby girl, Tate. I finally was able to visit with Andrea, meet Tate and take a {not prepared by me} meal. I had forgotten how *tiny* newborn babies are and was so excited to snuggle with Tate for a while.

Before Tate was born, Andrea had asked us to create some notecards for her yet-to-be named baby girl. Tate’s nursery is so sweet; Andrea used the owl bedding from Pottery Barn Kids and incorporated the tan and pink on the walls, the rug, the changing pad and the glider. Using the nursery theme for our inspiration, we came up with these folded notecards:

this is the design Andrea chose for Tate

{We of course printed Tate’s name on the cards – Andrea and James didn’t share the name until Tate was born!}

Last year, we created these initial notecards for Tate’s big sister, Rae:

Thanks, Andrea, for asking us to create these notecards for your girls!

You can all of these notecard designs – and more – in our Etsy shop.

{Holidays} A super-special Valentine

Yes, it’s well past Valentine’s Day but I just have to share this special card.  A friend of mine asked us to create Valentine cards so she could share some GREAT news:  that she is having a baby boy this summer!  We were thrilled to be part of the announcement and wanted to create a very special greeting that encapsulated the love of Valentine’s Day and the love that this couple has for their upcoming bundle of joy.

This is the final result:

How darling is that?  I love that it subtly suggests her pregnancy with the blue half-circle on the left and the wording?  ”We’re expecting you to have a Happy Valentine’s Day!”  So clever.  Lauren and Drew loved it, and Beverly and I thought it was an adorable way to share such exciting news with family and friends.

{Notecards} Teddy Bear Silhouette

When Molly was born, I couldn’t wait to get her some personalized notecards so we could send thank you notes for all of the generous gifts we got in the hospital and after we arrived home.  I wish Beverly and I had created Sweet Birdie’s Nest then because I would have totally used these teddy bear silhouette cards.  I think they would make the *sweetest* thank you notes for new baby gifts or toddler’s birthday gifts.

Do you know someone who needs these adorable notecards?  They would make a great gift for the baby who already has everything she needs.  Find them in our Etsy shop today!

{Sweet Parties} Andrea’s Spa Party

My dear friend Andrea is having her second baby girl very soon!  Andrea’s sister Meredith and I wanted to celebrate Andrea in a special way, so we invited close friends and family for a morning at the spa to be followed by lunch and cupcakes.  We all had a wonderful morning and were happy to celebrate such a special occasion.

Meredith suggested the color theme of turquoise and raspberry, so we created a clean, modern, and fun invitation with a Chevron stripe pattern.

{I just love the fun factor of the two-sided printing, don’t you?!}

We also created coordinating party circles to top the cupcakes Meredith picked up from a local bakery on Friday.  We also used the pregnant belly silhouette on the return address labels when we mailed the invitations.

Andrea, I can’t wait to meet your new baby girl!  Meredith, as always, it was so much fun to host a party with you!  I’m lucky to have both of you in my life.

New Collection: {Baby Carriage Collection}

We recently designed a sweet baby boy shower invitation using a baby carriage silhouette that we love.  The brown and robin’s egg blue is classic and perfect for fall, but of course we can customize the colors to match your theme!

These invitations would be great for a baby shower, a sip ‘n see or “welcome to the world” party, or even a birth announcement.

And the party wouldn’t be complete without the coordinating party circles:

Both items are in our Etsy shop now!

And be sure to check back later this week because we are working on three custom notecard orders that I’m in love with!  I just might have to get a set in each design for Molly!

Caroline’s {Oh Baby!} Shower

When Heidi asked me to create a crisp navy and green custom invite for her friend Caroline’s baby shower, I was so excited!  Navy and green are such classic colors and perfect for this southern summer party.

Address Wraps to match: (if you have never gotten an invitation in the mail with a wrap – you don’t know what you are missing!)

Heidi, I can’t wait to see pictures of this fun shower!
