Getting back into the swing of things, and info about a fun giveaway!

So, while I do have plans to blog more regularly, maybe I should wait until we aren’t living three hours at a time. Newborns have a way of throwing off one’s schedule, no? Beverly has been holding down the fort, working on orders, new custom designs, and replying to emails and convos. I’m trying to jump in when I can and have actually been able to respond to some emails while my sweet babe sits in his bouncy seat at my feet and his sister watches another episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Long live Mickey Mouse.

The piles of paperwork, Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, laundry and everything else are finally getting to me. When there’s clutter in my house, my mind feels totally cluttered. You too?  I have been so inspired since 2013 started – it really seems to be the year of “take back your life!” I’ve enjoyed reading blog posts about simplifying, saying no, giving yourself grace and focusing your time and effort on what’s truly important. Hence the slow return to blogging right now.

As I was clearing off the dining room table, I found some of our 2012 Christmas cards in a basket. While I obviously saw all of the digital proofs and packaged several of these for shipping or delivery, and even received some of them in the mail from loyal friends and family, I had to sit down and look at them again. It’s so fun each year to see what people want for their cards; the designs are such a reflection of each family, as well as a nod to the current trends. It’s especially fun to think about how this was our third holiday season. Our little company has grown and evolved so much in three years! {I am missing some of the cards – they must be in another pile somewhere!}

Finally, yesterday was Beverly’s older son’s 10th birthday!! Jackson and I had fun celebrating our birthdays together on Sunday with a family dinner. I cannot believe her baby is 10! I’ve said it before, but I remember when that guy was born. I swear it was just the other day…time flies when you’re having fun, right?
